“This is the 43rd anniversary of this annual event. It’s a celebration of London’s most old-school wooden puppet show. Punch and Judy will be joined by other wooden (and human) friends, including a brass band procession, workshops, clowns, folk music and refreshments.” - Donald Judge, London Cheapo

“The annual Covent Garden May Fayre & Puppet Festival (which celebrates its 44th anniversary in 2019), brings together Punch and Judy professors from around the country for a day of jolly old-fashioned fun. The grand procession at 11am is led by a brass band, and culminates with a birthday toast to Mr Punch, who was first seen by Samuel Pepys 357 years ago on the day.” - TimeOut, London

To keep the grown ups amused, there will be plenty of stalls and refreshments.” - Culture Whisper
